The Strokes have confirmed that their new album will be released in March.
Bassist Nikolai Fraiture unveiled details about the follow-up to 2006’s ‘First Impressions Of Earth’ on BBC Radio 1 today (January 5th). The as yet untitled album is to feature ten songs and is currently being mixed.
“In terms of progress it’s finished, it’s recorded, we are in the mixing stage at the moment and it should be out in March,” he told Zane Lowe.
“Sonically I feel like it’s the album that should have been made between ‘Room On Fire’ and ‘First Impressions Of Earth’,” he said.
The bassist also confirmed that they’d be touring the album but revealed no other details.
